Scholarships

The College participates in the following scholarship programs:

High School Senior Scholarship Program

The High School Senior Scholarship is offered in amounts ranging from $750.00 to $3,000.00 and is available to full-time students who have demonstrated academic merit. The award amount is based upon the graduating senior's cumulative grade point average and scholarship amounts are applied directly to the student's tuition. The applicant can obtain an application from the Forms page or from the Financial Services Department. Applicants should complete high school in the same calendar year in which they apply. A minimum CGPA of 2.0 is required. The applicant must submit a copy of his transcripts along with the application. The submission deadline for the high school senior scholarship is September 1st of each calendar year. The maximum award for associate's degree programs is $3,000.00 and the maximum award for diploma programs is $2,250.00. One half of the scholarship award will be paid in the first academic year and the final half will be paid in the second academic year. Scholarship disbursements will be scheduled in even amounts throughout the academic year.

College Merit Scholarship

The Merit Scholarship is offered in the amount of $1,000.00 and is available to full-time students who have demonstrated merit and financial need. First-year students may apply upon successful completion of two terms. The scholarship award will be paid in the second academic year and will be scheduled in even amounts per term. Second-year students may apply upon successful completion of five terms. The scholarship award will be paid in the third academic year and will be scheduled in even amounts per term. The scholarship applies towards tuition only and the institution is limited to a maximum of 40 awards per calendar year per campus. A minimum CGPA of 3.5 and a cumulative attendance of 80% are required. Recipients may qualify for a Merit Scholarship for a total of two academic years, with the minimum or maximum amount extended for each academic year award. Students must submit a completed application to the Financial Services Department, including a letter of recommendation and a personal essay of 150-300 words explaining why the applicant is interested in his/her chosen career field. The applicant can obtain an application from the Forms page or from the Financial Services Department. The Merit Scholarship submission deadlines are as follows:

Presidential Scholarship

The presidential scholarship is offered in the amount of $750.00 and is available to students who have demonstrated merit. The institution is limited to a maximum of 50 awards per award year per campus. Students should complete high school in the same academic year in which they apply and must be accepted for enrollment. Priority for the awards will be based upon the applicant's cumulative high school grade point average and the application deadlines set forth below. The scholarship applies towards tuition only and will be scheduled in even amounts throughout the first academic year. The applicant can obtain an application from the Forms page or from the Financial Services Department. An application should be submitted prior to the following deadlines for priority consideration:

December 15 - Winter Application Deadline
March 31 - Spring Application Deadline
June 15 - Summer Application Deadline

Imagine America Scholarship

Eagle Gate College participates in the Imagine America Scholarship Program which awards up to three high school scholarships per year. If your high school has registered with Imagine America, you may apply by visiting the Imagine America Scholarship website. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000.00 and is applied directly towards tuition. One half of the scholarship award will be paid in the first academic year and the final half will be paid in the second academic year. All scholarship disbursements will be scheduled in even amounts throughout the academic year.
