The Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) in Murray, Utah, offers an excellent pathway for busy adults to change their careers by entering the noble profession of nursing. What You’ll Learn

The Murray MEPN program will equip you with the knowledge and skills that are required to pursue an advanced nursing role in the healthcare system.

At Murray, you’ll learn how to:

Take and record patients’ medical histories and symptoms
Perform physical exams and observe patients
Create patient care plans or contribute to existing ones
Perform and order diagnostic tests
Analyze test results and diagnose various health problems
Alter treatment plans when necessary
Administer various medications and treatments and evaluate patient response
Consult with doctors and other healthcare professionals
Counsel and educate patients and their families on how to stay healthy or manage their illnesses and injuries

The Murray Campus

The Eagle Gate College campus in Murray is located just south of downtown Salt Lake City. Murray is located near the center of the Salt Lake Valley, providing a variety of employment options for MEPN trained nurses. Campus Location

The Eagle Gate campus in Murray is located just off of Exit 300 (5300 S) from I-15 heading south. The Murray campus is conveniently located in the middle of the Salt Lake Valley, making the commute for prospective MEPN students in Salt Lake County simple and easy.

You can take a quick drive north and enjoy all the fantastic attractions, restaurants, and shopping that downtown Salt Lake City offers. The Cottonwood canyons are just a 15 to 20-minute drive east on I-215 East. These canyons offer fantastic hiking trails, scenery, and several world-class ski results such as Brighton and Snowbird.

What kinds of jobs can you get with an MSN degree?

MSN graduates are eligible to apply to a variety of advanced nursing roles, including the following job titles: Certified Nurse Midwife, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Certified Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Educator, and Nurse Executive.

Invitation for Third-Party Comments

Murray, Layton, Boise, and Idaho Falls Colleges will host an accreditation site visit by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for accreditation of our Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) and MSN Program October 9-10, 2024.

In accordance with CCNE’s procedures, the Commission provides the opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, comments concerning the program’s qualifications for initial accreditation.

You are invited to share your comments regarding the College’s MEPN and MSN Program in Murray/ Layton, UT, Idaho Falls, ID and Boise, ID to CCNE by September 9, 2024. All third-party comments must be written in English. CCNE shares third-party comments only with the evaluation team. At no time during the review process are these comments shared with the hosting program. However, all compliance concerns related to the accreditation standards will be identified in the accreditation report, and the program will have an opportunity to respond to those concerns as part of its response to that report.
